Bern’s Steak House
Bern’s Steak House is a steak house like no other. Even though their prices are expensive, they are worth every dollar. You also will get soup, salad, a loaded baked potato, onion rings, and the vegetable of the day with your meal. Unlike other restaurants, they age their beef for six to eight weeks instead of the standard two to three weeks, and they also grow their own organic vegetables.
If that was not enough, they make their own bread, salad dressings, sauces, marinades, and soups. Your steak is weighed after it is cooked, so you get more steak than at other restaurants because they weigh them prior to being cooked. Along with all of this great stuff, they have the largest wine collection in America and a separate dessert room. If you are on a gluten-free diet, they have dishes on the menu that you can eat. Be forewarned, to eat in one of the dining rooms instead of the lounge, you need to dress business casual to formal. If you wear jeans, t-shirts, flip-flops, or tennis shoes, you will eat in the lounge. They have a tour you can go on as well and you can end your dinner or tour by becoming engaged.
Maritana
This restaurant is described as the “most delectable dining experience that Tampa Bay has to offer.” They are one of the best restaurants in the Tampa Bay/ St Petersburg area. When you dine at this restaurant, you will see 1,500 gallons of saltwater aquariums that have many colorful, native Florida fish in them. They utilize pure organic ingredients to make the freshest local seafood. This restaurant also has a large wine list and world-class service. Along with a casual-chic vibe, it has a festive and intimate atmosphere. Before you eat there, you can get something to drink at their new additional Rowe Bar.
Oystercatchers Restaurant
This restaurant is hidden among a natural landscape. The people that enjoy dining at this restaurant want to eat food from the Gulf of Mexico. They provide very impressive and attractive views of the bay for you to enjoy while you eat, as well as beautiful decor inside of the restaurant. The delicious food and the beautiful atmosphere are a treat for your taste buds as well as your sense of beauty. Their Chef de Cuisine, Adam Schaffer, creatively blends the freshest food with one-of-a-kind touches.
Their menu consists of the freshest wild fish that was caught by a line that is made with a large variety of relishes and sauces whose goal is to bring out the natural flavors of the food. If you have a one-of-a-kind taste when it comes to your food, this restaurant has one-of-a-kind dishes like lobster macaroni and cheese and stuffed whole Snapper. You can also pair your meal with wine and finish your meal off with an appetizing and mouthwatering sweet treat. All of these great features will make your meal unlike one you have ever had and ever will have.
Birchwood
This restaurant is ideal for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and more. They have a great variety of foods, from Shaved Prime Rib Benedict to Fried Rock Shrimp and Grits. You can have an al fresco lunch or dinner or a more intimate dining experience in their warm and inviting dining room. The best parts of dining at this restaurant are the highest service and seasonal offerings not to feed your stomach, but your soul as well.
They also have a rooftop lounge called The Canopy. This rooftop lounge has the most beautiful of views, invigorating libations, and absolutely light food for you to enjoy while enjoying the view from four stories above Beach Drive. The Place is another part of Birchwood. They have one-of-a-kind cocktails that you can enjoy before your dinner as well as appetizers, sliders, and flatbreads. Along with the cocktails and food, they have the most gorgeous view for you to enjoy.
After your proposal, you and your fiance can get married in their beautiful ballroom. The ballroom has beautiful views, a lot of space, a built-in bar, a full-service event kitchen, audio/visual capabilities, and additional space for private parties.
The Beach
Tampa Bay or St. Petersburg has beautiful beaches to visit and walk on. Your professional driver can take you and your fiance to the beach. It is very romantic and night, especially when the sun goes down. Depending on where you pop the question, there are a few places that could make it a bit more interesting. The beachfront at the Grand Plaza Hotel, and its beach bar, Bongos, almost always have weddings on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays this time of year around sunset. They have a pair of palm trees that kind of make up the altars, one set facing southwest, the other northwest so guests can choose the direction. Anyway, you could enjoy a drink on the beach, watch a wedding, let the wedding disperse and then go walk down the aisle and propose while it’s all still decorated.
Another option is the wedding gazebo at the Tradewinds; you can get to it from the beach even if you’re not a guest.
The holidays are quickly approaching, and not only will a limo make this a night to remember the location can make all the difference.
